The Outdoor Nation :: San Francisco

December 31, 1969
Saving the best for last, San Francisco brought an exciting end to the Outdoor Nation 2011 tour. The Bay Area brought their best to the event which drew 100 Outdoor Nation ambassadors and hundreds of visitors to Golden Gate Park. Partnering with The North Face, Global Inheritance brought their Energy Playground for folks to enjoy.  Participants could charge cell phones on Tour de Energy bicycles and a brand spanking new human hamster wheel.  They could also get solar powered snow cones or live-silkscreened organic cotton t-shirts.  T-shirt designs featured a local endangered species, the eagle, and outdoor themes.
Outdoor Nation visitors were drawn into all three activations similar to the girl in Poltergeist but with a much, much happier ending. Who doesn’t get hypnotized by cool energy generating playground equipment and awesome customized shirts.  Everyone were required to contribute their energy on a bike or hamster wheel to receive a live-screened t-shirt.  For the entirety of the day the live silk screening drew a formidable line that didn’t stop until the event closed.
A huge thanks you to The North Face for letting us be apart of this amazing tour.
